Margaret Lekanoff began her service on the Ounalaska Corporation (OC) Board of Directors in 1980. Her current term expires in 2024. She served as the Board Secretary/Treasurer from 1983 to 1985. Returning to the Board in 1994, she later served as its Vice President from 1997 to 1999 and again from 2000 to 2001. Margaret is now the Board Secretary/Treasurer and a member of the Personnel and Audit Committees.
After working as the Unalaska City School’s Registrar/Secretary for 22 years, Margaret retired on September 1, 2009. She currently serves as President of the Aleutian Development Corporation, Secretary/Treasurer of the Dutch Harbor Development Corporation, Vice President of the Niigalax Corporation, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Uknadax Corporation – all wholly-owned subsidiaries of OC.
Margaret moved to Wasilla, Alaska, in 2010 and still resides there. Margaret is also the proud grandparent of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
