The Edna P. McCurdy Scholarship Foundation was formed by Ounalashka Corporation to provide scholarships for post-secondary education to its shareholders and their descendants. Scholarships are offered to full-time students only at this time.

Congratulations to the following Edna P. McCurdy Scholarship recipient graduates!
To everyone at the Edna P. McCurdy Scholarship Foundation,
My sincerest thanks for what you do to make it possible for me and other shareholders and decedents to pursue our educational dreams. Because of your financial support, I recently graduated with my Masters degree in English and received an award for Outstanding Graduate in the English department. I hope that in my career as an educator, I can give back to our community as well. I intend to work closely with native populations as a teacher, mentor and hopefully a role model. I feel so lucky to be a part of such an important and supportive organization. Thank you so much!
Laresa H. Syverson recently graduated from the Florida School of Natural Arts. She graduated with a specialty in massage therapy and is currently practicing as a massage therapist in Unalaska at the Aleutian Chiropractic Health Center. Laresa received perfect scores in her coursework at this accredited educational center and stands out as an example of one of the Edna P. McCurdy Scholarship Foundation’s first graduates from a ‘trade’ school.
