Margaret A. Lekanoff, Secretary/Treasurer
Here's Margaret with two of her grandchildren, Celeste and Buddy.
Margaret Lekanoff began her service on the Ounalashka Corporation Board of Directors in 1980. She served as its Secretary/Treasurer from 1983 to 1985. After a hiatus, she returned to the Board in 1994, has served as its Vice President, and is the current Secretary/Treasurer. Her current term began in 2009 and will expire in 2012.
Margaret is a member of the Budget, Executive and Personnel Committees. Additionally she serves as President of the Edna P. McCurdy Scholarship Foundation, as well as the President of Aleutian Development Corporation and the Secretary/Treasurer of Dutch Harbor Development Corporation, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of OC.
For the past twenty-two years, Margaret has been Unalaska City School's Registrar/Secretary, and plans to retire on August 31, 2009, unfortunately for Unalaska City School District.
